About

Flatscreen is a communication tool for home owners associations (HOA’s) with the aim to help HOA members in the field of communication, sharing resources, sustainability and creating a smart living environment. The Flatscreen system is made of a centrally located tablet in the hallway of the building, and the Flatscreen app. Flatscreen’s modular design enables HOA’s to customise it to their own needs. 

Flatscreen was a project for Eneco, providing a platform for their HOA clients and assist their transformation towards into a vibrant, connected and sustainable community.

The Challenge

The current HOA is far from a sharing community, due to the negative vibes surrounding it. Home owners and home owners service companies have conflicting interests, which leads to distrust. A lack of knowledge amongst HOA members, and different expertises between stakeholders leads to bad communication. The result? Frustated neighbours and bad decision-making.
